Wesgroup Properties is pleased to announce the opening of a new Thrifty Foods location at The Brewery District – its new mixed-use development in New Westminster.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Thrifty Foods to The Brewery District,” says Gino Nonni, President of Wesgroup Properties. “With its well-established reputation, Thrifty Foods will provide a cornerstone for this vibrant new community. Our culture is one of partnerships, and our new collaboration with Thrifty Foods is an important element to the success of The Brewery District.”
Construction on Phase I of The Brewery District has begun with completion slated for mid-2011. The new 30,000-square-foot Thrifty Foods store is scheduled to open in fall 2011.
"We're delighted to be a part of The Brewery District," says Thrifty Foods CEO Milford Sorensen. "Our New Westminster store will join its sister stores in Coquitlam, Tsawwassen, Port Moody, Morgan Crossing, East Abbotsford and North Vancouver to become one of seven stores now serving the BC Lower Mainland,” he added.
The full-service store will be the company's 26th retail grocery location and will feature exciting new amenities aimed at making grocery shopping a pleasure instead of a chore.
